RUSSIA - Hewitt Associates, the pension consulting and human resources firm has opened its first office in Russia.
The Moscow office will focus on HR consulting and executive compensation. It will lead and coordinate Hewitt's consulting work within the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), which includes countries such as Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
It will be headed by Natalia Tikhomirova, who has joined the firm from Deloitte CIS, where she was a senior consultant.
"We have had a presence in Russia for some years, and I am delighted that we are opening our first office in this exciting and expanding market where business is developing rapidly," said Hewitt's European consulting head Roger Parkin.
"This office ensures that we now have a strong focal point for our clients, both within Russia and also within the CIS."
Natalia Tikhomirova said she looked forward to creating a "strong brand" for Hewitt in Russia.
Yesterday IPE reported that the Belgian industry-wide construction workers' scheme PensioB had appointed Hewitt Associates to design a tailor-made pension administration tool.
