UK - Peter Morgan, chief of Hewitt’s international actuarial and benefits team, has retired after more than 30 years.
His role has been split between London-based Ian Hinton, a former pension consultant on the international team, and Chicago-based Mike Downing, a retirement and financial management consultant.
Hinton now leads the European-based international team, while Downing heads up the North American team.
Morgan, 55, was the last senior partner of Bacon & Woodrow before its merger with Hewitt. He was based primarily in London and headed up a team of roughly 50.
He was also a member of the Hewitt's European region leadership team and a member of the global retirement leadership team
According to a Hewitt spokesperson, Morgan’s retirement was announced “some time ago”, and there was also a planned handover period.
Hinton will report to Hewitt's European retirement and financial management practice chief, Daniel Thomann. Downing will report to US-based global head of retirement and financial management, Monica Burmeister.
