UK – Hedge Fund Research has hired a former Bank of America vice president to boost its European institutional marketing.

HFR Europe said it has named Laurent Farcy-Briant as associate director, following HFRE’s launch of the HFRX investible indices in March.

“Farcy-Briant will be responsible for distribution and marketing transparent customised fund of hedge funds to institutional clients across Europe,” it said. He would also work with HFRE’s partner banks to structure products based on the HFRX indices.

He was formerly vice president of Bank of America’s structured securities group.
