EUROPE – IPE.com has reached one million article reads – with a portfolio manager with a Dutch corporate pension fund winning the prize for becoming the one millionth reader.

IPE.com this morning went past one million article reads. This represents a major milestone for the web-based news service, which was launched in January 2001.

The millionth reader was Iwan Lont, senior portfolio manager, fixed income, at the Hoogovens Pension Fund in the Netherlands. To celebrate the occasion, IPE will send Lont six bottles of 1995 vintage Dom Perignon champagne or wine to the value of 750 euros.

IPE.com articles attract more than 4,300 reads daily - up from just over 1,000 daily in June 2002. The most popular story ever published detailed the results of the IPE Awards Winners 2002, attracting 4651 reads.
