UK – HSBC Asset Management has appointed Julian Lyne as director of institutional business.
Prior to joining, Lyne was at J P Morgan Fleming Asset Management for five years, where, most recently, he headed defined contribution services and was responsible for client and consultant relations.
At HSBC, Lyne will be responsible for building relationships with investment consultants, and will promote the company’s institutional investment products and services to the UK market.
He joins a team of eight, headed by Geoff Cheetham, head of defined contribution and institutional business development. Cheetham joined from Merrill Lynch Investment Managers in January this year.
HSBC Asset Management has funds under management of 141 billion dollars.
