ITALY - Paolo Tosi, chief executive of Inarcassa, the €3bn pension fund for self-employed architects and engineers, has left the fund to join alternatives group Kairos Partners.
Tosi left the fund last month after seven years. At Kairos he will manage communications with institutional investors.
“I feel I am ready for this,” Tosi told IPE. “After working for an institutional investor I believe I know this kind of investor’s needs.
“My mission is to offer quality products that are coherent with institutional investors’ strategies and use my knowledge to help.”
Kairos offers total return equity funds, including hedge funds as well as private equity.
His role at Inarcassa has been taken over by fund manager Riccardo Gandini, who worked closely with Tosi, and the newly recruited Antonio Falcone.
Gandini, who joined Inarcassa five years ago from the Rome-based Dexia-Crediop, is in charge of asset allocation as well as internally managed assets worth about 25% of the fund’s total funds.
Falcone, who started at Inarcassa in February, will be responsible for alternative investments and fund selection. He joined the fund from the Italian bank Unicredito.
Next month will also see the election of a new board of directors at Inarcassa.
The fund consolidated its internal and external management’s custody and accounting under BNP Paribas Securities Services in January.
