UK – Andy White, the former managing director of research at ratings agency Fitch, has joined Innovest Strategic Value Advisors’ London office.

White will serve as director of research and will complement Innovest’s socially responsible investing focus, with his expertise in the field of corporate governance. Prior to Fitch he led the governance and engagement team at Pensions and Investment Research Consultants, or PIRC, in London.

Innovest provides research and ratings of companies’ environmental and social practices. Innovest’s partners include the investment managers ABN Amro, T Rowe Price and Credit Lyonnais while institutional clients include the California teachers’ pension fund Calpers and the Dutch civil service fund Stichting Pensioenfonds ABP which recently acquired a 10-15% stake in Innovest.
