GLOBAL - QS Investors, formerly part of Deutsche Asset Management (DeAM), was recently launched as an independent investment management and advisory firm following a management buyout.
Headed by Janet Campagna, a former managing director and global head of quantitative strategies at DeAM, the company's management also includes chief investment officer Rosemary Macedo and Robert Wang as head of portfolio management.
The group's chief financial officer is Tom Rose, while Marco Veissid is head of institutional services.
James Norman has been named president.
Campagna said the company had enjoyed an extraordinary time of growth while at DeAM, adding: "This is a critical time for investors, who now more than ever demand experienced global managers that provide creative solutions within transparent, diversified and liquid investment strategies."
QS Investors currently has $11bn (€8.6bn) in assets under management, with a further $70bn under advisement.
