EUROPE - Martin Hurst, Features Writer at IPE Magazine, has won the Best Fund Management Trade Journalist award at State Street Global Advisors' annual UK institutional press awards.
Hurst, 40, received the award at a ceremony at SSGA's annual investment seminar at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) in London today. "It is a tremendous honour to be recognised by such a distinguished panel," he said. He wins a case of fine wine.
“It is no surprise to us at IPE that Martin has won this prestigious award, with his stylish features on investment markets and issues built on dedicated research,” said IPE Editor Fennell Betson. “We are delighted he has been rewarded in this way and offer him our congratulations.
The panel of judges consisted of Abbey National's James Bevan, FT veteran Barry Riley, ex-FT financial editor Jane Fuller, Key Asset Management's Chris Jones, Watson Wyatt's Jane Welsh and the Wellcome Trust's Keith Shepherd.
