IPE - Martin Steward, IPE's investment editor, was yesterday named investment journalist of the year in State Street's annual Institutional Press Awards.
Steward's award was based on two articles that appeared in the May 2009 edition of IPE - Greeks bearing gifts, a briefing on volatility trading, and Getting a grip, on asset diversification.
Liam Kennedy, editor of IPE said: "We are delighted that Martin has received this well-deserved award and that IPE has been recognised in this way. Most people are overloaded with information each day, which only highlights the importance of investment writing that is considered, well-researched and well-written."
Stephen Smit, senior vice president, head of global markets EMEA & global services UKMEA, said: "We had a record number of entries this year and the standard was, once again, extremely high, which clearly reflects the high levels of accuracy, insight and newsworthiness within the institutional media."
