FRANCE – IXIS Asset Management has named SCOR Asset Management’s Véronique Leroux as its new chief investment officer.
Leroux, 46, will supervise investment, research and trading teams, IXIS said. She is a former chief executive of Dresdner RCM Management, Dresdner Bank’s French asset management subsidiary.
She was head of asset management at SCOR, the French reinsurer, since 2000. IPE reported last week that the appointment was due.
Separately, SCOR has named François de Varenne as group director for asset management and corporate finance. It said: “He will be in charge of asset allocation, treasury management and cash flow strategy, ALM policy, and relations with credit institutions and investment banks.”
De Varenne is 38 and has been managing partner at Gimar France since 2003.
IXIS added that Laurent Roubin, 36, has joined as chief administrative officer. He was previously an executive board member at Caisse d’Epargne Pas de Calais.
IXIS Asset Management (France) has €224bn under management and employs 444 people.
