GLOBAL – Janus Capital Group has named former Morgan Stanley executive Carolyn Patton as director of global client relations, a new role.
“In this new role, Patton is responsible for building Janus Institutional's relationships with consultants worldwide,” the firm said.
Patton was most recently a managing director at Morgan Stanley Investment Management in London, where she led the company's then three-strong European consultant relations team. It is understood that Morgan Stanley may look to replace her at some point.
Janus said: “Her initial area of focus is ensuring that consultants have the information they need to effectively serve their clients. To that end, Patton plans to expand the level of resources Janus is dedicating to working with institutional consultants.”
She will be based at the firm's Denver headquarters and report to institutional asset management head John Zimmerman.
"Carolyn brings a wealth of expertise and a track record of success in the consultant relations field around the world," said Zimmerman. "Adding her to our team in this new and critical position is another important step as we continue to expand Janus' institutional business globally."
Janus’s institutional asset management division has more than 30 staff.
