EUROPE – Janus Capital has named Henrik Rox Hansen as institutional sales director for northern Europe.
Denver-based Janus said Rox Hansen, 34, would “focus on developing relationships with corporate and government pension fund managers and consultants to tap the growth from Northern Europe's institutional asset pool”.
Rox Hansen joins from State Street Global Advisors, where he was director of Nordic marketing. A SSGA spokeswoman was not immediately able to say who would replace him.
“The appointment reflects the company's emphasis on providing European institutional investors with a broad range of investment strategies and first-rate client service,” Janus said.
He will also be responsible for developing distribution channels for Janus funds. He will be based in Brussels and report to David Schofield, institutional sales director for Europe.
"Given Henrik's strong track record in marketing institutional strategies in the Nordic region, I'm confident he'll help take our institutional business to new levels," said Richard Garland, chief executive of Janus International.
Janus Capital manages around 149.6 billion dollars in assets for institutional and retail investors worldwide.
