EUROPE - Cees Bezuijen has joined the US-based asset manager Vanguard Asset Management as senior sales executive.

Bezuijen, who is based in Vanguard's Amsterdam office, started in his new role at the beginning of this month.

Prior to joining Vanguard, Bezuijen was at KAS Bank, where he was most recently sales and business development director.

He held this position for more than five years.

He joined KAS Bank in 1998 as assistant manager of fund accounting and successively became relationship manager for financial intermediaries, head of credit risk management and head of securities lending.

A spokeswoman at Vanguard told IPE: "He is a valuable addition to our experienced team and will help us in our efforts to provide institutional clients in the region with low-cost, highly disciplined investment solutions."
