NETHERLANDS - Henk Groot, a senior relationship manager at the Dutch securities services firm KAS Bank, has left, the company confirmed today.

Nobody at the firm, which entered the UK market in 2001 and earlier this year announced it will venture into Germany, was available for any further comment. Though it seems Groot's move comes amid the firm's expansion plans.

In May there were media reports that KAS is looking to break from organic growth strategies and increase its market share through acquisitions.

Elsewhere, custody consultant Mylette has hired former Fortis executive Robert Jessurum Lobo.

"As from the first of August Robert Jessurum Lobo has joined the Mylette Group of companies," a release stated.

"Under the name Mylette Fund & Custody Solutions Robert Jessurum Lobo will offer operational knowledge to asset managers, funds (mutual and hedge) and pension funds.

"The primary focus of Mylette Fund & Custody Solutions will be on the selection process of custodians for institutional investors, the selection and implementation of front and back-office software and educational services to the aforementioned client groups."

Mylette - named after the ancient city of Miletus - provides banking and brokerage solutions, technology services as well as the ‘Mylette Academy'.

IPE reported earlier this month that Lobo, director of institutional sales at Fortis Netherlands, had left the company as of August 1.
