UK - Telecoms firm Kingston Communications has appointed HSBC Actuaries and Consultants Ltd. to provide administration services to its two defined pension schemes covering 2,900 members.
"Having made the strategic decision to appoint a dedicated provider, HSBC Actuaries and Consultants Ltd. was chosen after a rigorous competitive tendering process", said Rebecca Collinson, group head of compensation and benefits at East Yorkshire-based Kingston.
No figures on the size of the assets were disclosed.
Kingston Communications, famous for putting up white phone boxes in Hull, announced a rise in profits of 19.4% earlier this year.
The company's flotation in 1999 took it into the blue-chip FTSE100 index, but by 2002 losses led to job cuts and the
resignation of the chief executive in 2003.
Last month HACL hired Hymans Robertson's Gordon Justham as the new head of its Birmingham office.
