UK - Grant Kvalheim, global head of credit products at Barclays Capital, is to take responsibility for the management of the firm’s Investment Banking Division, which manages Barclays Capital’s relationships with corporate and financial institution clients.
The move accompanies the promotion of Naguib Kheraj, who is taking on additional responsibilities advising on corporate and financial strategy issues across the group.
Kheraj becomes deputy chairman of BGI UK Holdings Limited (BGI UK), the holding company for the group’s global institutional asset management business.
He will remain a member of Barclays Capital’s Executive Committee, where he is responsible for Strategy Development and he will also continue to oversee Barclays Capital’s private equity business.
Kvalheim joined Barclays Capital in May 2001 having been with Deutsche Bank as global head of debt origination and a member of the executive committee of the corporate and investment bank.
