BELGIUM- Ex-head of the Belgian Pension Fund Society Léon Brasseur is joining FRA Benefits Consultants near Brussels as a senior consultant. Brasseur worked with the Belgian Pension Fund Society for 17 years as a director as well as working as manager of the contingency fund for pharmacists.
In his new role he will be responsible for supplementary pension schemes offered by medium-sized enterprises, and will focus on French-speaking clients. FRA evaluates pensions providers and advises companies on their choice of system.
Brasseur’s role is entirely new, and part of FRA’s strategy to expand the services offered. “Brasseur’s experience at the Belgian Pension Fund Society, combined with his banking background at Banque Commerciale d’Escompte made him an ideal candidate”, says a spokeswoman for the benefits consultants.
In October Brasseur will also be running a course on pensions for post-graduates at the Catholic University of Louvain in Flandres, where he studied himself.
Hugo Clemeur replaced Brasseur as director at the Belgian Pension Fund Society in May.
