UK - Sue Nimmo has been appointed pensions manager for the Littlewoods Shop Direct Group.

The group had previously appointed Sue Hewitson from Mercer as external pension consultant but has chosen to bring the role in-house. 

The retail group runs a closed final salary scheme with 3,000 active members and £950m (€1.4bn) in assets, as well as a stakeholder pension for another 3,500 employees.

Nimmo joined Littlewoods from health company BUPA where she was pensions manager.

There she was replaced by her former deputy Pat Catterall together with a pensions technical consultant Liz Armstrong from Mercer.
