GLOBAL - London & Capital reported a rise in assets under management to over $3bn (€2.23bn) from $1.6bn in 2005.
The London-based boutique specialising in absolute return strategies named institutional clients as one of the boosters behind the asset growth. Interest was especially high in the manager's real estate funds.
Assets under management are now divided into 80% private client portfolios and 20% institutional mandates.
London & Capital hired over 20 new staff members over the last quarter "in anticipation of a continued increase in institutional demand for its products".
Most recently the company formed a structured products division to create vehicles around its absolute return funds.
London & Capital's products range from fixed income to hedge funds.
