UK – TRW Investment Management – the in-house manager of the £4bn (e6.3bn) Lucas pension fund has appointed William Macdougall as managing director and chief investment officer.

The promotion of Macdougall within the group follows the departure last month of David Brief to head the BAE systems pension fund.

Macdougall has been head of bonds and deputy head of the fund since 1996.
