APG - André ten Damme, chief financial officer at €287bn Dutch asset manager APG, has said he plans to take a sabbatical after four and a half years on the job. Ten Damme assumed his position in August 2007, replacing Dick Sluimers, who then became chief executive. APG said it had not yet appointed Ten Damme’s successor.

KPMG - Andy Seed has been appointed director at the consultancy’s defined contribution pensions advisory team. He joins from Deloitte, where he recently led the London benefit advisory team. Before then, he worked on Mercer’s pensions consulting and business development teams.

MFS Investment Management - David Holding has been appointed institutional relationship manager in the company’s London office. He joins from Towers Watson, where he worked as a defined contribution investment consultant. He began his career in 1984 as an investment consultant with Mercer (formerly Noble Lowndes). At MFS, he will report to David Mace, senior managing director of EMEA institutional business.

Pacific Alternative Asset Management Company (PAAMCO) - Lisa Fridman, who has been with the asset manager since 2004, has been promoted to partner. She will assume responsibility for managing PAAMCO’s London office in addition to continuing with her existing role as head of research in Europe. Separately, Stephen Oxley, senior partner in Europe, has been appointed to a new global strategic management role, the company said.

GR Communications - Penny Green has been appointed a non-executive directive at the financial PR and communications consultancy, effective from 1 January. Green is currently chief executive at SAUL Trustee Company - trustee for the non-academic staff pension scheme of the University of London - a role she has held since 1998.

Bryan, Garnier Asset Management (BGAM) - Steve Wallace has been appointed managing director responsible of commercial activities at the Switzerland-based asset manager. He joins from the CAIA Association, where he headed up industry relations across the EMEA, Australia and New Zealand markets. Before then, he worked at GEM, ING Wholesale Bank and Société Générale Corporate and Investment Bank.

Darwin Platform - Mark Baak has joined the Netherlands-based company from Finles Capital Management, where he was head of portfolio management, initiating its Dutch hedge fund index. He will be responsible for the support and coordination of various investment management initiatives, the company said.

LCH.Clearnet - Lisa Rosen has been appointed group head of compliance and public affairs, joining from Barclays Capital in London, where she was managing director and global head of regulatory affairs. Before then, she worked at Merrill Lynch. In her newly created role, Rosen will oversee the company’s regulatory and lobbying activities.
