GLOBAL – The Pensions Regulator, Dutch Actuarial Society, LGIM, Lombard Odier, Ignis, Ashcourt, Fulcrum, Altius, AllenbridgeEpic.
The Pension Regulator – The UK regulator’s Determinations Panel has appointment of three new members: Jennifer Eady, a QC specialising in employment law, Matthew Lohn, a senior partner at law firm Field Fisher Waterhouse and Catharine Seddon, a magistrate and trustee of the London Centre for Children with Cerebral Palsy. It has also confirmed that Andrew Long, appointed as the panel’s new chair last year, has assumed the position.
PKA – The Danish pension fund’s subsidiary PKA Alternative Investment Partners has seen Brian Schleimann Nordlund join as investment director, alongside Ulrik Pallisø Bornø as investment manager. Schleimann Nordlund was previously engagement partner at Nordic strategy consultancy Quartz + Co, while Pallisø Bornø previously worked at Nordic utility DONG as head of investment analysis. Anders Dalhoff has also been named acting managing partner following the departure of Jens Henrik Staugaard Johansen at the end of last month.
The Dutch Actuarial Society – The society has appointed Jan Kars as its new chairman. He will take over from Rajish Sagoenie when Sagoenie steps down on at the end of May. Kars is a former consultant and principal at Hewitt Associates, where he spent 30 years.
Legal & General Investment Management – Siobhan Boylan has been appointed as chief financial officer subject to regulatory approval. Siobhan will report to chief executive Mark Zinkula. Boylan joins from Aviva North America, where she was previously CFO based in Chicago with responsibility for the firm’s US and Canadian finance functions.
Lombard Odier Investment Managers – The firm has hired Grant Peterkin as a senior portfolio manager on the global & emerging fixed income team. Based in Geneva, he will report to Gregor MacIntosh and be responsible for the company’s range of sovereign strategies, with a particular focus on LOIM’s total return bond fund. Peterkin joins from Ignis Asset Management where he co-managed their absolute return government bond strategy.
Ignis Asset Management – Mira Bhogaita has joined the Ignis UK equity team as a portfolio manager. Bhogaita, who was most recently a portfolio manager at LV= Asset Management, will report directly to Graham Ashby, head of UK equities at Ignis.
Ashcourt Rowan – Harry Burnham, a director and member of Brewin Dolphin’s investment team, is to join the board of Ashcourt Rowan Asset Management after he leaves Brewin. He joined Brewin Dolphin in 2000, where he was responsible for a range of individual, trust and charitable portfolios, as well as the management of the Brewin Dolphin pension fund.
Fulcrum Asset Management – The firm has announced the appointment of Tim Meggs as head of trading. Meggs, who joined on 2 April, is responsible for leading Fulcrum Asset Management’s trading activities across global markets. Before joining Fulcrum, Meggs spent ten years at CIBC World Markets, where he was executive director of equity derivatives trading, global derivatives and strategic risk. Additionally, Fulcrum promoted Andrew Bevan and Mohamed Fawaz to partners.
Altius Associates – The firm has appointed Jeffrey Kopocis and Arnaud Garel-Galais as senior associates to its global investment team. Kopocis, who will be based in Richmond and joins from a multi-family office based in Alexandria. Garel-Galais joins from Dahlia Partners, a Natixis subsidiary in the private equity business. He will be based in the London office.
AllenbridgeEpic Investment Advisers – The firm has appointed Patricia O’Loughlin as senior adviser. She joins from Aviva Investors where she was a client director of UK pensions.
