Lombard Odier – Théodore Económou has been appointed chairman Lombard Odier’s Swiss employee pension fund’s investment committee, according to Hubert Keller, managing partner. Económou will continue in his role as chief executive of the pension fund for the Council of European Nuclear Research (CERN), which he has held since September 2009.
Unigestion – The Switzerland-based institutional boutique has appointed Jérôme Teiletche as managing director and head of Cross Asset Solutions. He will also be a member of the executive committee. Since 2008, Teiletche has worked at Lombard Odier Investment Managers, where he was most recently head of the Solutions Group. Before then, he was a senior quantitative analyst at Societé Générale Asset Management and a strategist and economist at Natixis CIB.
Aegon Asset Management – Jeroen van Wilgenburg has been appointed senior sales manager, responsible for wholesale distribution in the Netherlands. He joins from Robeco, where he was country manager for Japan and South Korea.
Schroders – Sheila Nicoll has been appointed to the newly created role of head of public policy. Nicoll was previously a senior adviser at EY and a director of Conduct Policy at the Financial Services Authority between 2009 and 2013, having joined the watchdog as director of the Retail Firms Division in 2007.
Legal & General Investment Management – Mark Benstead has been appointed as a senior portfolio manager within the UK credit team. He joins on 7 July from AXA Investment Managers, where he was head of UK credit. Before then, he was head of syndicate and a managing director at Royal Bank of Canada.
