SPF Beheer, Belgian Institute of Actuaries, Towers Watson, Generali Investments Europe, LawDeb Pension Trustees, UBS Global Asset Management
SPF Beheer – SPF Beheer, the asset manager for the €13bn railways scheme SPF, has appointed Eelco Blonk as private equity manager on 1 July. He is to focus on private equity investments in Europe and the US. Blonk has a background in corporate and investment banking and has been private equity manager at PGGM, the €169bn asset manager of the healthcare scheme PFZW, during the past seven years. At PGGM, he had joint responsibility for its relationship with private equity manager Alpinvest, as well as for investments in Latin America and Africa.
Belgian Institute of Actuaries/Towers Watson – Karel Goossens has been appointed director of the Belgian Institute of Actuaries (Instituut van Actuarissen), and will take up the role on 1 October. He is currently on the board of directors of Towers Watson in Belgium and will leave this role on 30 September. The institute said its current director, Jean-Claude Debussche, was terminating his mandate to avoid conflicts of interest with his position as the chief executive of an actuarial advice firm.
Generali Investments Europe – Xavier Got has been appointed senior credit analyst at Generali Investments Europe, focusing on financials. He will be part of a team of 13 analysts covering different sectors, under the leadership of head of credit research Vivek Tawadey. Got has previously worked at Standard & Poors and Amundi.
LawDeb Pension Trustees – Inder Dhingra has joins LawDeb Pension Trustees in its pension trustee team. He most recently worked at the Lloyds Banking Group, where he was head of market and liquidity risk.
UBS Global Asset Management – James Finch has been appointed head of global liquidity management, EMEA, at UBS Global Asset Management, based in London. He will report to head of global liquidity management Joe Abed. Finch was previously head of distribution, EMEA, for JP Morgan Asset Management’s liquidity management businesses and is a board member of the Institutional Money Market Funds Association (IMMFA).
