GLOBAL – European Securities and Markets Authority, Ethos Foundation, Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, Gottex Fund Management
ESMA – The European Securities and Markets Authority is recruiting an investment management team leader. Candidates must send their curriculum vitae in European format, which can be obtained here, as well as a cover letter before 22 November this year. Applications must be in English.
Ethos Foundation – Christophe Hans has been appointed communication manager. Hans, who will start his new role on 1 January 2013, will also act as secretary general of the association Ethos Académie. He will be in charge of the development of the foundation’s communication strategy. Prior to joining Ethos, he was head of public affairs at the Swiss Federal Department of Economic Affairs, where he successively worked for three economy ministers – councillors Joseph Deiss, Doris Leuthard and Johann Schneider-Amman.
Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) – The firm has appointed Martyn Gilbey as head of wholesale. Reporting to Francis Ghiloni, SWIP’s director of distribution and client management, Gilbey will be based in the company’s London office and have responsibility for driving SWIP’s wholesale business. He joins from Mirae Asset Management, where he was initially chief marketing officer in Hong Kong with responsibility for all distribution and marketing in EMEA and Asia, before moving back to the UK as managing director in London.
Gottex Fund Management – Marc Fisher has joined the global alternative asset management group as head of marketing for the Asia Pacific region. Fisher joins from FRM, where he was responsible for its Asia-Pacific business excluding Japan and Korea and a member of the management committee. This appointment follows Gottex’s acquisition earlier this year of Penjing Asset Management, an Asian alternative asset management firm.
