GLOBAL – Neuberger Berman, PBU, Industriens Pension, Cardano, Dansif, AXA Investment Managers, Aviva Investors, Aon Hewitt, Sackers

Neuberger Berman – The US-based asset manager has hired 22 emerging market debt investment professionals, 19 of whom have joined from ING Investment Management, where they managed more than $16bn (€12.2bn). The investment staff of 12 portfolio managers, six credit analysts and four economists and strategists will operate from offices in the US, Europe and Asia.

PBU – Lis Skovbjerg and Leif Hasager have been appointed to the supervisory board of the Pædagogernes Pensionskasse (PBU), the Danish pension fund for education practitioners. The appointments are in response to the recent demand from the Danish FSA that pension funds have two board members with financial business qualifications or experience. Bo Andersen – the former chairman of the board – has opted not to be re-nominated. Both Skovbjerg and Hasager have been appointed for a two-year period. Skovbjerg was previously managing director of PNN Pension and PHI Pension, insurance director of Sampension as well as deputy director of Hafnia Erhvervsbank. Hasager is investment director at investment manager Formuepleje, and was previously deputy director at Bankpension.

Industriens Pension – Four new members have been appointed to the supervisory board of labour-market pension fund Industriens Pension, while two have stepped down. The new appointees are former ATP CIO Bjarne Graven Larsen; Claus Jensen, the trade union chairman of Dansk Metal; Nina Movin, sales director of Threadneedle Investment; and Rasmus Sejerup Rasmussen of Babcock & Wilcox Vølund. Meanwhile, Thorkild Jensen and Lars Hansen – both from the union Dansk Metal – are leaving the board. The appointments of Graven Larsen and Movin are aimed at meeting the Danish regulator’s new skills criteria for pension fund boards.

Cardano – Stefan Lundbergh has been appointed head of innovation, based in Rotterdam. He will be responsible for research and development at Cardano. Stefan has been a board member of AP4, one of the national pension funds in Sweden, since 2012. He is also the chair of the Research Committee of the Rotman International Centre for Pension Management, which is based in Toronto.

Dansif – Jens-Christian Stougaard, PensionDanmark’s director for SRI, has been appointed chairman of the board of Danish ESG investment forum Dansif. Dansif was formed in 2008 and aims to help its members – institutional investors, advisers and other organisations – share experiences about ESG issues.

AXA Investment Managers – Garry Murdoch has been appointed global head of compliance, based in London. He joins from the Financial Services Authority, where he was a technical specialist in the asset management department. Before then, he was director of international compliance at AllianceBernstein.

Aviva Investors – Adeline Diab has been appointed head of integration for the global responsible investment team. She joins from APG Asset Management in the Netherlands, where she was responsible for embedding ESG into the investment process across asset classes.

Aon Hewitt – Nick Collyer has joined the flexible benefits team as a client relationship manager. He returns to Aon Hewitt from Towers Watson, was responsible for the retention and development of some of the consultancy’s largest administration clients.

Sacker & Partners LLP – The pensions law firm has recruited solicitor Jack Gillions. An Oxford University graduate, Gillions’ experience to date includes acting for both employers and trustees, advising on a broad range of pensions issues.
