NPRF Commission - Knut Kjaer, president of RiskMetrics Group and former chief executive of Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM), has been appointed to the NPRF Commission. He replaces Donald Roth who had served the maximum of two consecutive terms. The minister of finance has also reappointed John Canning, chairman of Madison Dearborn Partners, as a member of the commission, with both men awarded a five-year term as of 2 April 2010.
Schroders - Tim van Duren, head of institutional business Benelux, is relocating to the London office to assume a new role of product manager within the Multi Asset team. He will report to Justin Simler, head of multi-asset product management. Michael Joachim Ruhl has also joined as managing director of Schroder Property Kapitalanlagegesellschaft mbH (KAG), based in Frankfurt. He previously headed up the fund management team at LB ImmoInvest GmbH.
Investec Asset Management - Juan Marin is joining as sales director for Southern Europe, where he will assume responsibility for fund distribution and institutional business in France, Luxembourg, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Andorra and Monaco. He joins from Fortis Investments where he was responsible for developing the business in Spain and Latin America across the retail and institutional markets.
Mercer - Paul Richards has joined as head of the European real estate boutique within its investment consulting business, based in London. He was formerly head of indirect investment and global managed accounts at LaSalle Investment Management.
Pitman Trustees - Richard Butcher will become managing director from 1 May 2010. He joined the company two years ago.
Corestate Capital - Dr Georg Reul will join the firm’s management board on 1 August and take responsibility for its German fund business. He was previously at IVG Group for 14 years, serving on the board for the last five.
Brookfield Investment Management - Charles Hamieh has joined as senior analyst at global listed infrastructure team at AMP Capital Investors and Brookfield. He will be based in Sydney, Australia and report to Craig Noble, head of the global listed infrastructure team. He was previously director of infrastructure securities at fund manager Hastings.
SEB Enskilda Equities - Fredrik Carlsson is now global head of equity research. He was previously at the firm’s Stockholm equity research desk so now assumes global responsibility of SEB Enskilda’s research teams. Henrik Mitelman has been promoted to chief strategist and become a member of the Enskilda Equities Management Group, having acted as global head of the research unit’s trading strategy. Johan Javeus now assumes his role, having been head of the FX research team for the last two years.
Bluefin Corporate Consulting - Sean Glasgow has joined as head of investments, having previously held senior positions at Coca-Cola and Deloitte’s Investment Advisory Services. The division is an arm of Bluefin Advisory Services, which is a subsidiary of Axa UK.
