Lehman Brothers - Perry Hoffmeister, who has been co-head of the  Europe and Middle East investment banking division since 2004, has been promoted to  head of investment management for Europe and the Middle East, based in London. Hoffmeister will remain a member of the Europe and Middle East executive committee and will join the investment management executive committee.

Standart Life Investments -Guy Stern has left Credit Suisse in London where he was chief investment officer multi-asset management for the UK and US divisions, to join SLI as head of multi-asset management.

Threadneedle - David Donora has left MF Global UK to set up a new commodities team at Threadneedle.

Skagen Funds - Erik Mellgren Barlebo will join the portfolio management team, responsible for analysing existing and potential investments, on July 1. He previously worked at Danish BankInvest.

Scottish Widows Investment Partnership - Synapse Investments’s Stuart Stev has been appointed as investment director of corporate bonds, based in Edinburgh.

Russell Investments - Consultants Lloyd Raynor, Jihan Faisal and Nikolaos Katrakis are joining Russell’s London office, reporting to Sorca Kelly-Scholte, director of investment strategy and advice for the EMEA region. Raynor joins from Watson Wyatt where he was part of the “Thinking Ahead” group. Fiasal was previously with Hewitt Associates, while Katrakis also joins from Watson Wyatt.

Mercer - Garry Hawker has been promoted to the newly-created role of regional director for national funds in Asia Pacific. Alan Flynn has also been promoted to assume the leadership of the business across Asia ex-Japan.

Barrie & Hibbert - Ed Emanuel, from Moody’s KMV, is the new head of EMEA, based in the firm’s London office.

Barclays Capital - Trevor Sikorski has joined the firm as a carbon markets and environmental products research analyst. He previously worked at Point Carbon.

Comgest - Lodewijk van der Kroft has joined the partnership that represents emerging markets boutique Comgest in the Benelux. He was formerly director of institutional asset management at Dutch private bank Theodoor Gilissen Bankiers.

Hymans Robertson - Andrew Gaches has started as a longevity consultant. He joined from Aon Consulting.

European Credit Management - Charles Pelham was appointed head of client development, starting on May 6. Pelham previously led the loan syndications team in Europe and Asia Pacific for Bank of America.

Pioneer Investments - Jack O’Connor has joined the company from MFS Investment Management in Boston as head of US institutional.

Lane Clark & Peacock - Chris Clough, Tom Lorenc and Richard Williams have been promoted to partners.

Sacker & Partners - Fuat Sami has joined the London-based pension law firm. He previously worked at Ashurst.

Aegon Global Pensions - Henry Henkel has been hired as a regional sales director based in Princeton, New Jersey to work with Bill Hatten in developing Aegon Global Pensions’ presence in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Meanwhile, Robeco Asset Management’s Alexander van Ittersum joins as product manager asset pooling, based in The Hague.

Risk Management Solutions - John Stroughair was appointed to head the RiskMarkets group of RMS Consulting, joining from Oliver Wyman & Company.

Stoxx - Werner Bürki, a member of the management committee of the SWX Swiss Exchange and chief executive of Exfeed,has been elected chairman of the supervisory board of Stoxx Limited. Itis his second consecutive term serving as chairman. The change iseffective immediately and a result of the regular annual election ofthe chairman of the supervisory board.
