GLOBAL – Lyxor UK, UK National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF), Ilmarinen, PwC, bfinance, Pramerica Fixed Income, Vanguard Asset Management, UBS Global Asset Management, Carmignac Gestion, Swiss & Global Asset Management, Jupiter
Lyxor UK – Pierre Gil has been appointed chief executive. Based in London, Gil will report to Lyxor’s global chief executive Ines de Dinechin, who is based in Paris. Gil will combine this new role to his current position as head of international development. He joined Lyxor in 2009 to drive the merger with SGAM Alternative Investments. He became head of strategy in 2010 before being appointed head of international development last year.
UK National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF) – Helen Roberts has been appointed to lead the NAPF’s work on investment issues. She joins from F&C Asset Management, where she was head of government bonds for more than 13 years. Before then, she was head of UK Gilt and inflation-linked bonds at Hermes Investment Management. At the NAPF, she will spearhead policy work on investment issues across both defined benefit and defined contribution pensions.
Ilmarinen – Staffan Sevón has been appointed head of tactical asset allocation. He will also have overall responsibility for Ilmarinen’s internal hedge fund Ilmarinen Alpha. Sevón most recently served as Veritas Pension Insurance’s CIO. Prior to that, he worked as Nordea Investment Management’s CIO responsible for portfolio management in Finland, and as equities CIO at the Local Government Pensions Institution (Keva).
PwC – Celene Lee has joined the pensions advisory team from Barrie & Hibbert, where she was head of pensions. Before then, she was with Hewitt Associates, where her role included scheme actuary work for trustees. Her other roles include past chair of the National Association of Pension Funds’ North London Group and chair of the Institute of Actuaries’ IORP II Working Party.
bfinance – Toby Goodworth has been appointed head of risk management. Goodworth is the former head of risk at Key Asset Management, where he was a member of the investment committee and designed and ran the firm’s bespoke risk models.
Pramerica Fixed Income – Simon Males has been appointed managing director of institutional client relations. He joins from Pictet Asset Management, where he was head of global consultants and UK institutional business. Before then, he was director and head of consultant sales at F&C Asset Management.
Vanguard Asset Management – Axel Lomholt has been appointed head of European product development and management. He joins from BlackRock/BGI, where he was managing director and head of iShares product development for EMEA. Before then, he helped establish the index business and held the role of head of global indexing at HSBC Global Asset Management.
UBS Global Asset Management – Roz Amos has been appointed head of European consultant relations. She joins from Towers Watson, where she worked for 15 years, most recently has senior investment consultant, overseeing the Indexation Research and New Ideas Research teams.
Carmignac Gestion – Anne Bellavoine has been appointed head of marketing. She has more than 25 years of experience in the financial sector, including 17 years with Société Générale, where she was global head of equity sales and chairwoman of SG Securities, head of Paris floor for global equity flow and relationship manager for financial institutions.
Swiss & Global Asset Management – From 2013, there will be a dedicated team to serve independent asset managers in Switzerland. To this end, two sales experts join the existing Zurich-based team. Remo Badertscher joins from MAN Investments, where he was a senior relationship manager. Markus Lienert also joins from MAN, where he looked after independent asset managers and banks in Liechtenstein and Switzerland.
Jupiter – Luca Evangelisti and Harry Richards have joined the fixed interest and multi-asset team as credit analysts. Evangelisti joins from Moody’s, where he was an associate in the Financial Institutions Group. Richards will be transferring internally from Jupiter’s Private Clients & Charities Team.
