GLOBAL – Rogge Global Partners, Brummer & Partners, 300 Club, Pantheon, Lombard Odier Investment Managers, Muse Advisory, Morningstar, BNP Paribas Securities Services, EMEA Capital
Rogge Global Partners – The fixed income specialist has appointed Michael Ganske as head of emerging markets. He joins from Commerzbank Corporates and Markets, where he was divisional head of emerging markets research. Before then, he worked at Deka Investment and DWS Investments. At the same time, Rogge also announced a 16 promotions to senior partner and partner at the firm.
Brummer & Partners – Robert Lindblom is leaving one of the largest hedge fund providers in the Nordic region to start his own business. Lindblom was instrumental in launching Brummer Life in 2011. In 2012, Mats Langensjö was recruited to head up the life division as Lindblom stepped down from that role to become senior adviser for Brummer & Partners.
Lindblom has been with Brummer for 10 years and in his new role will work as a consultant on some projects on behalf of Brummer.
300 Club – Christopher Ailman, CIO at CalSTRS, has joined as the newest member of the 300 Club, an independent group of leading investment professionals from across the globe. Ailman also serves on several boards and advisory boards in the US and UK, and is a member of the International Corporate Governance Network.
Pantheon – The $24bn (€18.3bn) private equity fund of funds manager has hired Michael Riak for its newly created role of head of US defined contribution (DC). Riak, who worked for 17 years with Verizon Communications, ultimately as its director of savings & affiliate plans, will lead the implementation of Pantheon’s initiative to bring unlisted private equity to the world of DC investments.
Lombard Odier Investment Managers – Carolina Minio-Paluello has been appointed deputy CIO. She joins from Citigroup, where she was head of Europe, Middle East and Africa for equity and private investor solutions. Before then, she spent 11 years with Goldman Sachs.
Muse Advisory – The independent pensions governance and administration consultancy has appointed Anne Kershaw to the senior management team. Kershaw joined Muse in 2009. Going forward, she will be responsible for developing expertise around investment governance and fiduciary management consulting.
Morningstar UK – Daniel Needham has been appointed global CIO of Morningstar Investment Management and managing director of Morningstar Investment Management Europe. Previously, he served as the ratings agency’s managing director and CIO for the Asia-Pacific region.
BNP Paribas Securities Services – Darren Banks has been appointed to lead on the development of the UK Trustee and Depositary Business. In his 12 years at State Street, he held various roles and was involved in the development of the business arising from regulatory developments in Europe and the UK.
EMEA Capital – Can Uran has been appointed managing partner and CIO at the independent asset management firm. He joins from UBS, where he was global co-head of emerging markets trading. Before then he worked at Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs.
