GLOBAL – ABP, Stenham Asset Management, bfinance, Traiana, First Actuarial
ABP – The €286bn Dutch civil service pension fund has appointed José Meijer as vice-chair of its board, representing employees. Meijer will succeed Xander den Uijl, who is to leave on 1 August. Over the last five years, Meijer has been a board member at the €5.9bn pension fund for work and re-integration PWRI, chaired by Den Uijl.
Stenham Asset Management – The asset manager has appointed Damian Brannan as managing director. He joins from Union Bancaire Privee, where he was head of hedge fund advisory for Asia and the UK. Brannan, who has more than 20 years’ investment experience, will also be a member of Stenham’s Investment Advisory Committee.
bfinance – The consultancy has appointed Roubesh Adaya to its research team as a senior associate, covering research into fixed income investments. He joins from BNP Paribas Asset Management, for where covered core fixed income in London and Paris. Before then, he was a global fixed income investment specialist at Fisher Frances Trees & Watts.
Traiana – The pre-trade risk and post-trade processing specialist has appointed Guy Eden as head of product management. Eden was previously head of product management at the London Stock Exchange. Before joining LSE, he worked for Ipreo and SunGard.
First Actuarial – David St. Cyr has been appointed as a corporate actuary. St. Cyr started his career at Bacon Woodrow and de Souza in Trinidad and Tobago before moving to London to join HSBC Actuaries and Consultants.
