As the merger of BNP and Paribas proceeds, Jaques-Philippe Marson has been appointed head of the BNP Paribas Group Global Securities Services for the combined group. Securities services, along with private banking, asset management and insurance have been designated as one of the six core business lines of the BNP Paribas Group. Marson had been head of the Paribas global securities services as well as being a member of bank’s management committee.
The combined group’s operations will have combined assets under custody totalling E1trn, with a total staff of 1,200.
