UK - Mellon Global Investments has hired Ian Harvey as head of UK pooled funds, a new role.
It said he would focus on sales and client service for institutional pooled funds in the UK marketplace. He will report to Jon Little, chief executive of the unit, part of Mellon Financial Corp.
Mellon said Harvey joins from SG Asset Management where he was head of pooled funds for six years. A spokesman for SGAM said there wasn't a direct replacement, although Luke O’Donnell and institutional marketing head Saker Nusseibeh would share his duties.
"Ian's knowledge and first class track record in the pension fund arena significantly fortifies our capability in this area and underlines our commitment to the UK pooled fund market and plans to grow Mellon Global Investments and Newton in the UK," Little said. He joins on June 7.
