UK - Mellon Global Investments has appointed David Holding to the new role of pooled fund account manager to its institutional pooled fund team.
Holding, who started on August 9, reports to head of pooled funds Ian Harvey, who was recruited in June.
Holding’s job at the international distribution subsidiary of Mellon Financial Corp. include generating new mandates, contributing to the pooled fund of product offering and monitoring the standard of customer service.
Harvey said: “At a time when MGI is broadening its pooled fund offering, David’s broad experience in this area aligns perfectly with our aims of strengthening relationships with the UK’s leading institutional investors.”
Holding was account manager at Schroder Investment Management and left the company in November 2002.
Mellon announced in April that it has broadened its pooled fund offering through the addition of a new share class within five Newton-managed sub-funds, including Newton UK Opportunities, Newton Absolute Intrepid, Newton International Growth, Newton Income and Newton International Bond.
