EUROPE – Mercer Investment Consulting says it has hired Watson Wyatt’s Debbie Clark as a member of its European manager research team.
“As a senior equity researcher, she will be responsible for covering a range of equity strategies,” Mercer said. She joins on November 1 and will be based in London.
She has 20 years’ investment experience and was previously a consultant and manager researcher at Watson Wyatt, it added. She was formerly head of global equities at Friends Ivory & Sime.
Elsewhere, Mercer Human Resource Consulting has agreed to buy Watson Wyatt’s New Zealand business for an undisclosed sum.
"The acquisition is an excellent fit for our business and is consistent with Mercer's global growth strategy," said Mercer’s chief executive Brian Storms.
The move follows the firm’s acquisition in April of the Australian operations of Mellon Human Resources & Investor Solutions.
Mercer’s New Zealand head Tim Jenkins will run the acquired business. The deal is expected to be finalised during September via a share transfer.
