UK – Mercer Investment Consulting has hired Punter Southall’s London office head Danny Vassiliades as a principal.
“He will advise multinational companies on global investment issues and help clients improve their global asset risk management,” Mercer said.
It added Vassiliades has 16 years’ industry experience and helped to establish Punter Southall’s investment consulting service.
“Danny’s experience and leadership will be a great asset to the team and I am delighted to welcome him to Mercer,” said Fiona Dunsire, Mercer IC’s UK business leader. The appointment is with immediate effect.
Mr Vassiliades is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and has a degree in economics from Cambridge University.
Elsewhere, Watson Wyatt has appointed Richard Sard from MNPA as a senior consultant to its defined contribution administration business.
It said he was a senior client manager for DB and DC schemes at MNPA. Before that he was at Mercer HR Consulting for 14 years.
“This is an exciting time for Richard to join Watson Wyatt,” said Jane Murray, Watson’s head of DC administration.
“The DC client portfolio has expanded enormously in the last two years both in the UK and in Europe.”
And Buck Consultants has appointed Finlay Ross and Jill Clark as senior investment consultants. They join from KPMG Pensions and Aon Consulting respectively.
