EUROPE - Mercer Human Resource Consulting says it has appointed Clive Ellston as a European principal, based in London and Birmingham.

It said he joins from Towers Perrin where he was a senior consultant responsible for developing a financial education service for executives and employees. Before that, he was Chief Executive at Berry Birch & Noble Financial Services.

He will be involved in providing specialised consultancy advice to executives to help them manage their company benefits and personal wealth.

Last week Mercer reported that its revenues for the fourth quarter rose 17%.
