UK/EUROPE - Piers Bertlin has been appointed as a senior investment Consultant and European Partner with William M. Mercer in London, in a move from UK investment manager Phillips & Drew.

Bertlin’s role will involve assisting clients in formulating investment strategies and selecting and monitoring fund managers.

At Phillips & Drew, Bertlin was an executive director and global portfolio manager.
His responsibilities included management of Japanese equity portfolios.

Before that, he was a founding partner of HD International, a
company managing assets on behalf of institutional clients
worldwide. He has 17 years experience in the investment management
industry.
