UK - Andy Green, one of the UK's most senior investment consultants, is quitting Mercer for Deloitte.
He follows out the door, Bill Muysken, head of alternatives research, who joined Thames River Capital earlier this year.
Based in Edinburgh, Green is a worldwide partner and European director of consulting policy at Mercer Investment Consulting.
At Deloitte he will become a partner in the management consulting part of the firm and also a director of Deloitte Total Reward and Benefits Limited.
Peers were surprised by the move as investment consulting is an adjunct to greater sources of revenue at Deloitte. "I do not see how they can build a big base of investment consulting clients," said one, who wished to remain anonymous.
Ralph Frank will take over Green's responsibilities at Mercer. Frank joined in 2002 having previously worked in South Africa for actuarial and investment consulting firms, including heading up the asset consulting business of market leader, Alexander Forbes.
