UK – Merrill Lynch has bolstered its global equity team with the appointment of John Leonard as a fund manager.
Leonard formerly worked at Citigroup where he was a global coordinator for financial services research in London. Prior to Citigroup, he was based in New York with Brown Brothers Harriman.
In his new role, Leonard will co-manage the team’s investments in the global financials sector with the team’s existing fund manager, Niall Gallagher. He will report to Ian Rowley, head of the MLIM global equity team.
With the addition of Leonard, Merrill Lynch Investment Manager’s global equity team will now have a headcount of 14. The team manages 7 billion dollars in assets.
Merrill Lynch Investment Managers has assets under management of 471 billion dollars.
