UK - The £4bn (€5.9bn) Merseyside Pension Fund is seeking a new head to take over from John Parry, who is retiring.
"We wish to recruit a head of the pension fund who will ensure we achieve our pension fund, corporate and departmental objectives," said the Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council, which administers the fund, in a recruitment advert in the Financial Times.
"Reporting directly to the director of finance and the Pensions Committee you will take overall responsibility for the fund, maintaining appropriate strategic and operational systems to maximise efficiency and effectiveness in the field of rapidly evolving markets and demands.
"Whilst we are looking for knowledge and skills ranging from strategic planning to business analysis, the main attribute we seek is a person who has functioned at senior management position in a pension funds or investment company," the ad states.
Interested candidates are directed to an informal discussion with Parry, who was not available for comment to IPE.
