IRELAND – Ireland’s minister for social and family affairs Mary Coughlan is to make the keynote speech at the world Pension Association’s annual conference in Dublin later this month.
The conference theme is: “The impact on pension funds of major global change.” The event is produced in conjunction with the Irish Association of Pension Funds, the European Federation of Retirement Provision and the International Federation of Pension Fund Administrators.
Conference organiser Nora Finn says there has been “a broad level of interest” in the event.
Other speakers include Finnish MEP Piia-Noora Kauppi, Jaap Maassen of Dutch pension fund Stichting Pensioenfonds ABP and Anne Maher, the head of the Irish Pensions Board.
Topics under consideration include the European Union’s Financial Services Action Plan and Pension Funds Directive, asset allocation and corporate governance.
The conference takes place at the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin on April 28.
