UK – Merrill Lynch Investment Managers has bolstered its fixed income team with the appointment of David Buckle as director.
Buckle will cover currency management across MLIM’s global bond portfolios, and will report to Russell Maddox, head of the global fixed income team.
Prior to joining MLIM, Buckle was a founding partner and director of Lee Overlay Partners – a specialised investment management firm, dedicated exclusively to external currency overlay. He was previously head of currency at Putnam Investment Management.
MLIM’s global fixed income team manages 10 billion dollars (8.6 billion euros). As at 30 June this year, MLIM had 270 billion dollars (231 billion euros) in fixed income assets.
