UK - Morgan Stanley Investment Management has made two appointments to its UK institutional team.
It has named former ABN Amro Asset Management executive Richard Lockwood as head of UK coverage team. And Simone Bouch, formerly of Henderson Global Investors’, becomes vice president of UK institutional client coverage.
The appointments are part of the asset manager’s plans to expand in the UK market.
Michael Green, head of MSIM’s international business, said: “We have long considered the UK to be one of our key markets, and these appointments provide further evidence of our commitment to grow our business here.”
Lockwood, who was director of institutional business at ABN Amro, reports to Green and will be an executive director.
“There is considerable appetite among UK investors for exactly the type of leading edge products that MSIM can offer,” Lockwood said.
Bouch, who used to head European client services at Henderson, will report to Lockwood.
A spokesperson for Henderson told IPE that no direct replacement for Bouch has been selected as her team has been restructured. ABN Amro Asset Management was unavailable.
Meanwhile, Henderson has appointed Dominic Powell as head of a new investment solutions department. It combines structured products and derivatives with structured credit products and leveraged loans teams.
