Investment & Pensions Europe is to have a new a new editor as from mid-February to take over from founding editor Fennell Betson, who will become editorial director of IPE.
Liam Kennedy, who is editor of EPN European Pensions News and founder editor of DPN in Germany and NPN in the Netherlands, as well as of other titles, all published by the Financial Times group, will succeed Betson, who has edited IPE from its launch in February 1997.
"We are absolutely delighted that someone of Liam's stature, experience and talent is joining us to take IPE magazine and its supplements to the next stage of their development," says Piers Diacre, publisher of IPE.
He adds: "In the past 10 years, IPE quickly established the leading role in the marketplace for Europe's pension professionals and institutional investors. With Liam on board, our aim is to maintain and enhance this position."
Kennedy says: "I am pleased to be joining IPE magazine as editor at an exciting time in the development of the publication. IPE has secured a great reputation in the last 10 years as a specialist information source and I look forward to using my knowledge of the institutional investment and pensions sector to help the magazine to continue to develop and innovate."

Betson will become IPE's editorial director, responsible for the overall editorial direction of IPE magazine, IPE Real Estate, IP Asia, and IPE.Com, as well as other product areas.
