Dow Jones made several component changes to its Sector Titans 30 indices. “For the most part, the changes provide a finer degree of granularity to allow investors to track specific parts of the market,” the company says.
Companies which have been added to the Dow Jones Sector Titans 30 indices are Engelhard Corp (US) in the chemicals sector, Mellon Financial Corp (US) in the financial services sector, Pilkington (UK) in the construction sector, Raytheon Co (US) in the industrial goods and services sector, Svenska Cellulosa (Sweden) in the non-cyclical goods & services sector and Visteon Corp (US) in the auto sector.
Companies deleted from the index are Brisa-Autoestradas de Portugal S/A Norm (Portugal) from the construction sector, Norsk Hydro (Norway) from the chemical sector, Pirelli (Italy) from the auto sector, Siebel Systems (US) from the technology sector, Toronto-Dominion Bank (Canada) from the banking sector and Yahoo! (US) in the non-cyclical goods & services sector.
Also, Electronic Data Systems Corp (US) will be reclassified from the industrial goods & services sector to the technology sector, and Washington Mutual (US) will be reclassified from the financial services to the banking sector.
