Aegon has launched a new service – Trustee Connect – for all Aegon Master Trust clients that will see each scheme assigned a dedicated, highly experienced trustee to provide individual, tailored support and guidance.

Matching experience and skills to each scheme and its priorities, the nominated trustee will help navigate the governance, including attending governance committee meetings either in person or virtually, and share directly the latest best practice, plans and developments for the Aegon Master Trust.

Alongside regular newsletters and invitations to Aegon Master Trust summits, which take place twice a year, Trustee Connect will also enable employers to join the Aegon trustee board meetings to allow the trustees to gather and act upon employers’ feedback.

Trustees also benefit from access to the master trust member panel. This enables members to share real-life experiences, while regular focus groups enable the trustees to stay connected with scheme members and receive direct feedback.

LD Pensions picks FacSet

In other appointments, Denmark’s LD Pensions (LD Fonde) has picked FactSet to provide a new portfolio and risk management system, having selected the UK company in a competitive tender process launched last autumn.

FactSet was one of four companies bidding or submitting a request to participate in the DKK46.5bn (€6.25bn) pension fund manager’s tender, according to the results announcement on the EU TED tendering site.

Michael Steen, head of investment analysis at LD Pensions, said the Frederiksberg-based institutional investor looked forward to working with FactSet.

“They deliver high-quality analytical and data-driven solutions that, among other things, give us a better opportunity to analyse and assess performance and risk in our portfolios,” adding that ultimately, that benefited the members of the two pension schemes LD Pensions runs.
