Forca, the joint pensions administration company for the trio of Danish labour-market pension funds PKA, PBU and Lærernes Pension, is outsourcing all of its IT operations and development to the Copenhagen-headquartered provider Netcompany, it announced.
Forca said it had signed a strategic partnership agreement with Netcompany which it said meant PKA and Lærernes Pensions’ 575,000 scheme members would be served via one comprehensive digital pension solution from 2027.
The third of Forca’s pension fund owners, PBU, as already announced, is leaving the Forca joint venture by the end of 2026.
Karsten Kjeldsen, chief executive officer of Lærernes Pension, the teachers’ pension fund, said: “Technological development is faster than ever, and the demands from our members for fast, easy and accessible digital solutions are increasing in line with the development.”
Forca said the agreement entailed Netcompany delivering a new integrated IT system, with an insurance core system from the subcontractor Festina Finance, with both systems based on existing, well-tested platforms.
“The digital pension solution enables Forca to meet the owners’ wishes and requirements faster, better and cheaper,” Forca said in Monday’s announcement.
At the same time, it said the new system would allow it to offer PKA and Lærernes Pension members “a completely new and user-friendly digital member journey”.
