The People’s Pension – The pension’s provider under People’s Partnership has appointed new director Sheila Doyle to serve on the trustee board alongside six existing directors. She will help to manage the £26bn pension scheme of more than 6.5 million members.

Doyle has more than three decades of experience in executive and board positions across organisations including Deloitte, BP, Royal Mail, IBM, and Deutsche Bank and is a specialist in delivering transformational change through the application of innovative digital solutions.

As well as her extensive experience in professional services and other sectors, Doyle also serves as a non-executive director for both NHS Supply Chain and London Ambulance Service.


Hymans Robertson – The UK consultancy has appointed Calum Cooper as head of pension policy innovation, a new role, in which he will focus on finding the alignment between the firm’s capabilities and expertise and a wider social purpose, working with political and industry stakeholders.

Currently, Cooper is an equity member at Hymans Robertson, having joined the firm in 2003. In his new role, he will continue to work with pension clients including as actuary to the trustees of the UK’s first superfund, Clara Pension Trust.


Muzinich & Co – The global corporate credit specialist announced that Rehan Virani has joined as head of alternative credit solutions and strategy in the firm’s global product committee.

In this newly-created position, Virani will oversee private capital partnering, develop customised client solutions, and manage capital formation activities across Muzinich’s alternative credit strategies.

He has more than 24 years of experience investing in credit strategies and in various fundraising and strategy roles.

BNP Paribas Asset ManagementAlaa Bushehri has been appointed as head of emerging markets debt. She has been with the firm for 20 years and served as head of emerging markets corporates within the emerging markets debt team for 11 years. In this role, Busheri was responsible for alpha decisions related to hard and local currency emerging market corporate risk.


Brown Advisory – The global investment management firm has designated Andy Nickson as UK intermediate sales director where he will support the growth of Brown Advisory’s international business.

Nickson’s most recent role was at Fidelity International where he was a sales associate director for nine years responsible for developing client relationships across London and Ireland.


VontobelChristoph von Reiche joins Vontobel as head institutional clients to lead the firm’s global distribution strategy and growth efforts. He brings more than 30 years of financial services experience including more than 20 years of experience in the asset management industry.

Prior to joining Vontobel, von Reiche was global head of distribution and marketing at Robeco Institutional Asset Management, and previously head of Europe institutional at JP Morgan Asset Management.


Daniel Broad at Broadstone

Broadstone – The consultancy has named Daniel Broad as a senior investment consultant within its growing consulting and actuarial division.

Prior to joining Broadstone, Broad served as a director at Isio, where he prepared and delivered research-led, independent investment advice to institutional investors, including defined benefit pension scheme trustees and sponsors.

At Broadstone, Broad will leverage his extensive expertise to lead on strategic research and deliver and improve investment solutions to clients. He will also be responsible for increasing the team’s presence in Manchester and the North of England.


Swedish Fund Selection AgencyAnders Sjöborg has been appointed by the Swedish government as a new member of the board of the Swedish Fund Selection Agency (Fondtorgsnämnden, FTN).

He is currently chief legal officer and head of security at the Swedish defence procurement agency Försvarets Materielverk (FMV). Sjöborg has been appointed to the FTN’s board for a term ending on 31 March 2027.


AMFJonatan Holst has been hired by Swedish blue-collar pension fund AMF as its new head of communications. His most recent job was at the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen), where he was responsible for internal and external communication and he has previously worked at the Government Offices of Sweden.

Holst now heads AMF’s three-strong communications team and reports to the pension provider’s chief of staff Malin Omberg.


Achmea Investment ManagementBart Oldenkamp has joined the frim as director of clients and products. He previously worked as head of investments for Pensioenfonds Rail & OV, the pension fund for the Dutch public transport sector, where he is a member of the executive board.

Previously, Oldenkamp worked for Robeco, NN Investment Partners, Cardano and ABN Amro Asset Management in investment-related roles.


CJ Morrell at Fiera Capital

CJ Morrell at Fiera Capital

Fiera CapitalCJ Morrell has been appointed as managing director, head of Japan, for Fiera Capital Asia. The newly-created role will enable Fiera to increase its strategic focus on the Japanese market during a period of comprehensive economic reform in the country.

Morrell will report to CEO Rob Petty, and will build on the existing Asia team’s profitable business and 23-year history in Singapore, Hong Kong and Korea. He will be responsible for growing Fiera’s presence on the ground and building up its existing relationships in the market.

With over 30 years of experience in the asset management industry including at Merrill Lynch, JP Morgan and Sloane Robinson Asset Management, Morrell was selected for his in-depth knowledge and experience across Japan, Asia, and public equity markets, as well as his proven leadership ability.


SUSI PartnersSven Simonis has joined the Swiss private markets firm as its new head of client solutions and member of the leadership team.

Having 24 years of experience in asset management and banking, Simonis was previously at Credit Suisse Asset Management, where he headed institutional client coverage efforts across the EMEA region and held a senior management position as country head for Germany.
